¿ Dónde vamos a encontrarnos?

Celia Argüello y Pedra Pepa met in 2014 at the American Dance Festival. Remaining in contact with a mutual desire for shared encounters and supported by the Jerome Hill Artist Fellowship, the artists began an artistic exchange deriving from the artistic/pedagogical project titled ¿ Dónde vamos a encontrarnos? Over the course of the last 3 years, we self-designed 3 residencies in Córdoba & Río Negro (Arg) and Nayarit, Méx.

About the project:

We developed our research in spaces close to nature, understanding such as spaces with the least human intervention as possible. In these natural “stages”, we researched pedagogical practices and artistic methodologies about the ways of relating to the environment, to the interpersonal connections and to our planet. Through our work we search to disarticulate logics that reproduce colonizing, cis-hetero capitalist logics in order to keep building new ways of ‘doing’. With this project we add ourselves to the work of descentralizing art towards different contexts, expanding the idea of the ‘stage’, audience, and accessibility. We compost/fertilize towards the transformation of our own world-views parting from collaborative artistic practices in various landscapes, environment, and sociocultural situations.
