TRANSTUBSTAN

My most recently premiering work is a solo performance and experiential gallery exhibition , which was developed during a residency in the sovereign indigenous territory, Guna Yala, last May. This production shares an experience of constant transformation, of witnessing viewership and control; and of sovereignty and freedom: through space and time, through intense and immersive audio and visual journeys, at the intersection of body/sound/object/energy/video, with archived and present-moment findings.

This project initially manifested materially during my time in Rosy Simas Danse Residency Program in October 2021. Inhabiting space for uninterrupted time permitted emergences, eruptions, medium-crossings, visual art 2D and 3D, voice and a re-naturalization of my body sounding towards the environment. An outpour, floodgates opening.
