MASC4MASC (2018)

Term used in gay hook-up apps, meaning “masculine men seeking masculine men.”

Masc4Masc was performed as part of Northern lights, South Super Loop. The city of Minneapolis in efforts to activate outside spaces for the SuperBowl. It was -20’F during the performances.

MISS CHOCOZUELA (2018)

Part of the Citizenship series at the Walker Art Center Gallery I in response to Carey Young’s Declared Void II. Miss Chocozuela was a “pageant”, a circus of transphobia in Venezuelan television, where cis men would dress up like drag queens and trans folk ridiculing them. 

NOCHE BOMBA, SOLO (2017)

Noche Bomba (2017) is an exploration of forms and gender. Movement; expression; drag; social dance. Gender as fiction, socially constructed; gender as reality, its actual implications. Interweaving forms to construct imagery. The journey of my Latinx gender evolution. 

Noche Bomba is the 2nd exploration leading to the evening-length performance with a 7-performer cast.
